Terms and Conditions
This document contains a summary of some of the Rental Conditions. For full details and conditions, refer to the conditions schedule in the rental Agreement. Please not all quoted in this document are in Australian dollars. Rates and Conditions quoted brochures and/or documentation are subject to change without notice.

Rental Duration
Hire is calculated on a daily basis (NOT a 24 hour period) from 8.00 am of the first day to 3.00 pm of the last day. When calculating the number of days a vehicle is rented, the day of pick-up is counted day one of the rental, regardless of pick-up time. The day of the vehicle’s return is counted as the final day of the rental. When a rental moves from one rate season into the next, the calculation is based on both rates.

One-Way Rentals
There is NO provision for one-way rentals. All pick-ups and drop-offs are at our depot.

For your protection - Travel Insurance
Personal injury is covered in most cases through Registration Third Party Insurance. It is strongly recommend that all clients take out Personal Injury Travel Insurance. All vehicles are insured for damage to the vehicle or to the property of a Third Party. The Hirer is responsible for the first $1850.00 (Of the cost of damage to property or to the rented vehicle, including single vehicle accident, windscreen accident, damage, overhead and under-body damage, towing and recovery costs, theft, fire or break-in. This also includes the cost of the daily rental for the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs (demurrage). The excess applies in respect of each rental. The excess is applicable regardless of who is at fault and must be paid at the time the accident report is completed, not at the completion of the rental. The excess will be refunded if we are successful in recovering the cost of the damages from the Third Party. Please note that Third Party Claims can take months or even years to resolve. DogGone  Motor Home Rentals cannot force the destiny of these claim, it is up to our Insurance Company and the Third Party may be insured or not.

The hirer is totally liable for any damage caused to DogGone  Motor Home Rentals or Third Party Property if:-

Vehicle Security Deposit
The security deposit is AU $1850.00 by cash, Traveller’s Cheque or credit card. If paid by credit card, authorisation will be gained for the AU $1850.00 Security Deposit. The Security Deposit is fully refundable provided the vehicle is returned on time, undamaged, with a clean interior and with full fuel tanks (fuel being petrol and or diesel )and gas bottle full. We reserve the right to retain a AU $100 soiling fee if the vehicle is not returned with the interior in a clean condition. The toilet and waste water tank must be emptied prior the return of the vehicle, or an additional AU $100 soiling fee will be retained. Vehicles are non smoking only-$100 cleaning if evidence of smoking is found. Failure to return the vehicle with petrol or diesel tanks full will result in a refill charge. Petrol and diesel charges will be advised upon return of the vehicle. The refill charge for LPG is AU $35.00. I hereby authorise my credit card to be debited should I incur these charges and other charges on this page.

Travel Restrictions
Our Motor homes and campervans, can only be driven on sealed roads in all states of Australia and cannot be driven on unsealed roads or tracks. DogGone  Motor Home Rentals reserves the right at its sole discretion to restrict vehicle movements in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions. Driving into river or sea water is prohibited, as is driving on the beach.

Infringements
We reserve the right to charge the hirer for any speeding, parking or tollway fines, and associated administration costs and/or accidents inducing third party property damage not reported on return of the vehicle. The administration fee per fine will be AU $50.

Exchange Rate - Currency Variations
All credit transactions are conducted in Australian Dollars, Due to exchange rate fluctuations there could be some variance in the amount refunded compared to the amount initially charged. DogGone  Motor Home Rentals does not accept any liability for variances up or down.

Payments and Credit Cards
Personal and Company cheques will not be accepted as payment for rentals at the time of pick-up. These must be paid 14 days prior to commencement of rentals. Company cheques are not acceptable as security deposit for the Motor Home. If a credit card is presented as payment, the credit card holder will be jointly and severally liable as a customer. The following credit cards will be accepted: Bankcard, Visa Card, Mastercard.

License
A full resident country drivers license, held for a least one year, is to be presented at the time of rental. If the License is not in English format, an international driver’s license is also required.

Age Restrictions
Drivers must be 25 years of age or over, to the age of 75 years. Therefore ages limited is 25 years to 75 years old and holding a current license. This is our insurance restrictions.

Living Equipment
The Living Equipment (crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, linen, pillows, towels, outdoor furniture and cleaning items) is included in the daily rental rate for the Motor Home.

Rental Extension
If the hirer wishes to extend the rental whilst on hire, they must first obtain authorisation from the pick up office. The extension term is subject to availability of the Motor Home. The extra cost of an extension rental must be paid by credit card over the telephone on confirmation of the extension term. Failure to obtain authorisation will result in a fee of AU$500 in addition to the daily rate.

Change of Vehicle
Should the vehicle booked be unavailable through unforeseen circumstances, DogGone  Motor Home Rentals reserves the right to substitute an alternative vehicle without prior notifications and at no extra cost . This shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle the hirer to a refund.

Maintenance Responsibility
The customers are responsible for checking all fluid levels at each re-fuelling. Refills of all fluid except petrol, propane and diesel will be reimbursed at check-in upon presentation of receipts. You are responsible for blowouts, flat or punctured tyres. Don’t get the tube repaired since that will not last. You must get a new tube. Never drive with a flat tyre. Tyre replacement cost will only be reimbursed if the manufacturer accepts a warranty claim on the faulty tyre. If you need to replace tyres, please ensure it is the same brand, size and ply rating as the damaged tyre. Recap or remould tyres are not acceptable. Tyres can blow out just through the extreme heat on roads.

Remember driving over 100 km per hour will make your tyres overheat. All fuel and gas are full at pick up and must be returned the same. The air conditioner must be switched off if the vehicle is stationary and the engine idling for prolonged periods. Otherwise, this could damage the air conditioner.

Voluntary Downgrade
Should the hirer decide to take a smaller vehicle than booked they will not be entitled to any refund.

Cancellation Fee: Schedule
If cancelled 25 days prior to pick-up NO fee
If cancelled from 24 - 6 days prior to pick-up 15% of Rental
If cancelled 5 days or less prior to departure or a NO show 50% of rental
If vehicle is returned early for any reason whatsoever NO refund available

Animals
Some of our fleet is “dog friendly” to enable you to take your “doggoneholidays” with your family pet - please ask when booking.

Refusal
DogGone  Motor Home Rentals reserve the right to refuse any rental at its discretion - no further correspondence will be entered into.

Road Restrictions
The Motor Home is to be driven on sealed/bitumen roads at all times. DogGone  Motor Home Rentals reserves the right at its sole discretion to restrict vehicle movement in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions, and the distance to nominated destinations in relation to the length of the hire period.

Cleaning
A fee of AU$40.00 for cleaning may be charged if the vehicle is not returned with the interior clean and tidy.  Vehicles are non smoking only - there will be an AU$100 cleaning fee, if evidence of smoking is found.
